Thank you SedonaEye.com for this public forum and opportunity.

I consider fair and honest dialog a positive attribute. I offer the following comments in regards to the Verde Independent editorial I wrote on January 21, 2011 titled “Is the Cornville Community Association Cornville’s voice? and Deanna King’s response in the Verde Independent on January 26, 2011.

In regards to Deanna King’s editorial comments, I would like the Cornville Community Association and its President Deanna King to know that I have never questioned the “Good Deeds” of the CCA and said so in my article. I only questioned their poor manners as was pointed out in my story on January 21, 2011. Please reconsider my editorial statements in the two examples given on January 21, 2011.

I would say that I have displayed poor judgment and manners on occasion during my two year journey to promote the Folksville USA anti-litter movement to “Restore the beauty to America the beautiful. I actually went back and apologized to a group for my behavior in one case even though one of the attendee’s later said to me, “thanks for saying what you did, it needed to be said”; I was still out of line.

My expectations from the CCA for my two bad experiences and reported on January 21, 2011 would be a simple response. That response could have been as simple as saying “We (the CCA) could have handled the two reported cases differently with a much better outcome for everyone.”

My new expectation is that the President of the CCA or a CCA Board member and I get together and discuss how to work together on common issues such as how to keep Verde Santa Fe in Cornville, promoting both of our anti-litter efforts, keeping Cornville small, promoting all existing Cornville businesses, always being aware of water issues, to name a few.

What if we meet at the Cornville’s Grasshopper grill for a beer and burger? Let’s invite Supervisor Chip Davis, what do you say? Dutch treat.
