Pay is low because nobody wants to pay taxes. All public safety start around 15.00 an hour.

I agree that the Five-o’s should make more but to make other workers pay suffer doesn’t make sense either.

Last night watched Anthony Bourdane visit Kansas City & he talked about how the mob kept police salaries low so they’d have to accept government corruption and bribes. VERY INTERESTING. Try & watch it. Makes you think why their salaries are low.

I know a school intern making 18.75 an hour part time with part time benefits like weekends holidays and summers off______means she’s making nearly the same as your police and that’s underpaid for her job. I find that interesting and thought you might too.

Wait! Am I the only one who sees a disparity by the City for paying this employee squat and a CITY PLANNER AND CITY ATTORNEY MULTIPLE TIMES WHAT THIS PERSON WILL EARN? The City Council needs to raise the pay for its police force and lower the pay for it’s desk sitting bureaucratic pencil pushers.
