ADOT and Comunity,

Between Highway 260 (Cottonwood to Camp Verde) and Scenic Highway 89A (Cottonwood to Sedona) I'm estimating that over 120 bags of trash were recovered this weekend on Armed Forces Day.

This brings the total bags of litter recovered between Cottonwood and Sedona on Scenic Highway 89A in 2011 to 332 bags.

These bags will be recovered and delivered to Rusty's Morningstar Ranch before 5/31/11 for recycling.

By leaving this trash on the highway, this is another great opportunity to educate the public through the Memorial Day holiday as to the amount of trash that gets dumped onto the highway especially during our holidays.

Thanks for being our "Partner" in this Community & ADOT effort.
