Dear Editor,

I sent you some photos today of this team during their most recent litter pick up about two weeks ago on both Highway 89A and 260.

It warms the heart seeing the youth on this team learning and earning their funding through the "Good old fashioned work for it and earn it concept".

Dear SedonaEye.com Publisher,

I have sent the following comments to the organizations noted and hope that your readers will encourage other youth groups, businesses and leaders to join them.

Through our combined effort, we only enhance the benefits to living and working in the Sedona and Verde Valley by improving the image and economy of our area.

Gary Chamberlain

Dear American Heritage Academy & AZ Footy soccer team,

I am sharing the contact information for your individual organizations with the hope that you will contact each other and make a effort to join forces, plus encourage other youth groups to participate.

Could you imagine the sight if the youth of the Verde Valley, Yavapai County and Arizona participated in four litter recovery events on the third week or weekend of February, May, August and November?

The attachments denote the businesses in the past that have supported the "America the Beautiful & BagReadyJobs" effort.

I would suggest that all youth groups wanting to "earn" their funding contact these businesses if your group is willing to participate in the "America the Beautiful & BagReadyJobs" effort and comply with the requirements [see attached requirements] by partnering and working with local ADOT Adopt-A-Highway groups.

Your partnering efforts would make a great news story that I'm sure would appeal to our community and media organization. I am willing to help you connect with media organizations that have been willing to tell our story and include newspapers, television and radio.

On a personal note, I would hope that your stories mention being part of the "America the Beautiful & BagReadyJobs" effort that is getting local and national attention from many, including the American Legion and VFW.

The success of our combined effort depends upon the participation of all of those mentioned in some capacity. Strength in numbers and teamwork are a must, if we are to make a difference.

Thanks to the continued efforts of Mayor Charlie German, Town Manager Russ Martin and Economic Development Director Steve Ayer of Camp Verde we may have other community leaders joining this effort.

Thank you so much for publishing this story on the AZ Footy Soccer Team, they are a wonderful bunch of boys that are learning the value of giving back to the community with their coach's direction and hopefully they will inspire other youth groups to do the same.
