I have pride in a trash-free community that encourages tourism, new residents, new home sales and businesses that bring jobs. The businesses who have paid me over $4,000 at $10 per bag of trash that I pick up seem to appreciate the effort of anyone who makes their community a cleaner place to live.

Other groups should tell their stories about the trash they pick up, it creates educational and awareness opportunities that will cause changes in bad behavior!

At the end of the day, I will let the local businesses that support my activities determine the direction that I and the Folksville USA restore the beauty to America’s highways goes.

The next FVUSA litter event is August 18, 2012. Mark your calendars and come on out to help beautify our Arizona. Everyone’s efforts are appreciated, no matter the length of time or the amount of litter picked up while helping!

Look for a coming article in the SedonaEye.com about a high school student headed to London, England over the holidays who will be earning travel money by participating in a Folksville USA trash effort in her community! Just to be clear – The young folks pictured and under the age of 12 years of age, in Home Depot garb with Unger Grabbers holding ADOT blue bags, aren’t part of the official ADOT Adopt-A-Highway effort.

These young role models are the children of the parents of official ADOT Adopt-A-Highway Groups. They help their parents clean along the pedestrian sidewalks in Cottonwood on the same day and after their parents perform their ADOT AAH cleanup efforts.
