You hit the nail on the head describing the current City Council. Unknowns that ventured to Sedona where they now rule and pass judgment on lowly flatlanders. Definitely not the mainstream Middle West people (or even from California) that came here for peace, quiet, and small-town living.

“NOT” says the temporary six in control that given their way they will tax us out and mess up even worse than the current School Board.

Way to go, big shots – including you “Look@Yourselves.”

Yep those that resist change are benefiting from TAXPAYERS money.

It’s not lack of respect; it’s knowledge of the “breed” that is attracted to the scenic beauty of Sedona! They are full of hubris and self-importance and now no one cares… So you need to make others feel the same… Can’t fool an old fool…

You should take your own advice….

You can badger, nag, insult or toss out whatever ugly comments you can dream up to spew but one thing you will never own is self-respect. Your negativity, oddly enough, sends a special enlightening message that justifies my choice of existence versus yours and the “new” generation.

Lack of self-respect spills over and is misplaced in the angry remarks posted by those so disrespectful of others that may disagree. You’re to be pitied. You will clearly never know the pride and self-satisfaction of saying “I did that on my own without government assistance or standing in a begging line.” Really, very pitiful.

I am very sad to see Art Mart closing. There are many businesses in Sedona that are hurting. Walgreens has announced the closing of many stores, and with CVS going in they probably won’t make it. Bashas has been in and out of bankruptcy. The small coffee shops are giving way to uber corporate Whole Foods and Starbucks. The Chocolate Tree is doing well, but it’s also being harassed by the City and was shut down the day Chipolte opened in uptown. NO ONE is doing really well – many are just barely making it. One local tour guide had a write up in the New York Times, supposedly worth millions of advertising dollars, but she has left due to the fact that she had to cancel so many tours due to chemtrails obscuring the sky. The city doesn’t appreciate it’s citizens and what they have to offer and instead courts big corporations that take what they make and send to headquarters in other states.

The chamber just needs to shut down so that a real chamber takes it’s place. The citizen’s committee’s need to be disbanded — they are told what to say and promote. Promises made (such as only non-profit businesses at Cultural Park) need to be kept.

Sedonians are getting their tar and feathers ready and sharpening pitchforks. Tensions are building….

Maybe if those in business around here catered more to locals instead of tourists all would be well…

Fancy cakes for weddings , overpriced restrants, crystals, 25.00 tea shirts etc, etc.. The list goes on and on..

Maybe your business model is screwed up.. Why you all blaming the C Of Comerce for your problems.. Bashas, drug stores, auto repair, resrants that cater to all, construction, even beals, seem to be doing well..

So quit your bellyacheing..

The only crybabies, whiners and beggars are staff and special interest groups that ARE funded by the taxpayers. Better to unincorporated then we get better services from the county.

Not only are in-city residents treated like dirt, so are many of the local businesses unless we pay for referrals. It happens all the time and if the city did their job they’d put a stop to it. Apparently, @Look at yourselves you are among those on the take.
