Yavapai County Sheriff’s 2009 VOC Crime Report

SEDONA AZ (March 14, 2010) -Between January 2, 2009 and December 31, 2009 the following calls to Yavapai County police were responded to or initiated by Eastern Deputies in Village of Oak Creek, Sedona Arizona:

  • 113  Animal Problems
  •   43  Burglaries
  •      7  Drug calls
  •      9  DUI’s
  •    58  Family Fights with 23 Arrests
  •    35  Frauds
  •    24  Loud Music/Loud Parties
  •       9  Noise Disturbances
  •    62  Thefts
  •  287  Traffic Stops with 83 Citations Issues/7 Arrests
  •     39  Vandalisms

Lt. Parkison presented the 2009 Sheriff’s Report on March 11, 2010 to approximately one hundred and fifty people in attendance during the Thursday evening VOC Community Meeting hosted by Yavapai County Supervisor Chip Davis. In addition to County Supervisor Davis and Lt. Parkison, Area Roads Superintendent, Verl Cook, provided a thorough update on Village of Oak Creek road improvements, roadway repair, and area maintenance progress. Cook was followed by a County professional who discussed Village of Oak Creek septic tanks and fields, and a Master Gardener who presented ideas and options for year-round gardening in Sedona and the Village of Oak Creek.
