Yavapai County Unsung Hero Lois Hook accepts award from County Supervisor Chip Davis with Deanna King

Yavapai County Unsung Hero Lois Hook accepts award from County Supervisor Chip Davis with Deanna King (r)

Sedona AZ (March 27, 2013) – On March 20, 2013, Yavapai County Supervisor A.G. “Chip” Davis was a guest on Mark in The Morning radio show hosted by longtime KVRD Country Radio personality Mark Bachman. Davis was present for the monthly presentation of the “Unsung Hero Award.”

This month’s Unsung Hero, Lois Hook, was nominated by Deanna King who said “…everything Lois does, she does for others. Lois is a tireless and relentless volunteer. She has worked on getting raffle prizes for the Cornville Community Association events, puts on the best Easter Egg Hunt in the Verde Valley, works on Toys for Tots from September through December – even playing Mrs. Clause, helps with the Verde Valley Water Festival, works at Canyon Moon getting usher and workers for the events, volunteers with the packaging of food for the kids in Haiti and keeps track of the events at Windmill Park!”

We don’t know how she does it. We do know that she loves her community and loves helping to get things done. Thank you, Lois Hook!

The radio show was simultaneously video taped by the Yavapai Broadcasting Company. The video is available for viewing at www.verdevalleytv.com.
