Yavapai Apache Nation Partners with County

Yavapai Apache Nation presents check to Yavapai County

Cottonwood AZ (April 12, 2012) – Yavapai County Supervisor A.G. Davis attended the March 1, 2012 meeting of the Yavapai-Apache Nation where he was presented a check for $37,285 as part of the Nation’s annual Proposition 202 funding. The check was officially accepted by the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors on March 5, 2012.

The funds will be split between five projects: $12,000 will go to help fund local transit needs; $10,000 will go to the Beaver Creek School District; $6,285 to the Mayer Fire District; $5,000 for the Jerome Historical Society to help with its many projects, and $4,000 to the Verde Valley Senior Center for audio visual equipment.

Supervisor Davis on behalf of the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors is pleased to partner with the Yavapai-Apache Nation and to help so many deserving causes under Proposition 202.
