White Buffalo Trading Post Destroyed

Coconino County Sheriff BadgeSedona AZ (September 12, 2014)On Friday, September 12, 2014, at 3:59 in the early morning, deputies from the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office responded to a building fire reported by hunters at the White Buffalo Trading Post, in Kendrick Park on Highway 180 mile post 256, north of Flagstaff, Arizona.

Upon arrival, CCSO found the trading post fully engulfed in flames. Summit Fire Department and Flagstaff Fire Department responded to the scene.

At this point in the investigation, the cause of the fire is unknown. The trading post has been unoccupied for several years.

The fire did cause extensive damage to the structure.

No citizens or firefighters were injured during the fire suppression efforts. Coconino County Sheriff’s Detectives and investigators with the Summit Fire Department are conducting a joint investigation as to the cause of the fire.
