Veterans Day Tribute at Sedona Heritage Museum

Sedona Heritage Museum

Sedona AZ (November 3, 2010) – The annual Sedona Heritage Museum Veterans Day event is scheduled for Thursday, November 11, 2010 beginning at 11:00 a.m. on the museum grounds in Jordan Historical Park, uptown Sedona Arizona. The 2010 Veterans Day program will honor Veterans and active military service people.

The museum’s annual event has evolved to be the Sedona community formal Veterans Day tribute. This year, a local Sedona Boy Scout troop will perform the opening flag ceremony.

After the formal program with dignitaries and a tribute to U.S. military veterans, lunch will be served in the Sedona museum historic fruit packing shed. Diners will be entertained by Dick Curtis, a Marine WWII and Korea veteran. Curtis will perform music from the 1940s-1960s intertwined with humorous commentary and dance music. He is a film, theater, and television personality who appeared in 48 episodes of the Jonathon Winters Show, hosted Queen for a DayA.M. New York, and The Dick Curtis Show.

The day’s events are underwritten by the Sedona Heritage Museum with assistance from a grant from the City of Sedona. The program, lunch, and Museum admission will be free. For more information, call 928-282-7038.

Everyone is welcome and community support is vital for continuation of museum programs. The Sedona Heritage Museum is located at 735 Jordan Road, Jordan Historical Park in uptown.
