Verde Valley School Announces New Headmaster

Sedona AZ (May 7, 2011)–Chuck Adams, President of the Verde Valley School Board of Trustees and Class of 1978, and the Board of Trustees are pleased to announce the appointment of Graham Frey as the next Head of School for Verde Valley School, Sedona, Arizona.
Graham Frey Graham’s prior head of school experience, visionary outlook on education, tremendous energy, and collaborative style are particularly well suited to Verde Valley School (VVS). He previously served as Head of Crested Butte Academy, successfully launched virtual academies for Kaplan Virtual Education, and established key alliances within the independent school industry.

Graham’s talents best meet the board’s strategic initiatives, which are designed to ensure that the school continues to thrive for future generations of students. The Board believe Graham’s skills will help Verde Valley School  increase its presence in the marketplace, diversify its revenue sources, and make it more competitive in a rapidly changing educational environment.

Graham will officially become Head of School on June 1, 2011. The Board is working with John Griffiths and Graham to set up a leadership transition process to occur this month. Graham will be on campus periodically during that time so students will have an opportunity to get to know him. Graham, his wife Cristie, and their two sons will be taking up residence over the summer in the Head’s house.

“The Verde Valley School Board feels fortunate to have selected from such a highly qualified and talented group of candidates for the position of Head of School. The candidates brought a unique set of skills to the position, making a decision difficult. We believe the caliber of candidates is a testament to our past successes and future possibilities,” said Board of Trustees President Adams.

  2. In State Tuition - Out of State Schools says:

Please share this with your readers. It’s good information for anyone with children considering colleges and universities:

WUE – Western Undergraduate Exchange – http://www.wiche.edu/wue is the web site…or contact 303-541-0270 or email : info-sep@wiche.edu As an Arizona resident, 15 states participate in the program that allow Arizona students in-state tuition rates at out of state schools.

Parents/students will need to fill out a FAFSA now (financial aide application) even though tuition might already be provided for by parents and they do not qualify for financial aide. This is also the application for students/parents to apply for WUE state tuition reduction/stipend. Parents/students can google FAFSA to get started but parents/students need to make sure they accesses the read government site as there are non-legit sites now which charge. FAFSA is FREE.
