Verde Valley Sanctuary Fundraiser

Sedona, AZ (February 29, 2012) – Mark your calendars and put on your dancing shoes! The Verde Valley Sanctuary, a 28-bed shelter for victims of family violence and abuse, will host Dancing in the Moonlight on May 5, 2012, an evening dinner dance to the Latin rhythms of La Cubanita’s Orchestra underneath a brilliant full moon.

The fundraiser will take place at the beautiful Lacy Goldenstein Farm on Oak Creek in Cornville, Arizona. Tickets are $100 per person and couples will receive a copy of “HeartBeat,” an album of jazz standards from La Cubanita Orchestra’s lead singer, Mercy Bermudez. Proceeds benefit the Sanctuary’s shelter and community programs.

“This is going to be an extraordinary evening,” says Barry Maketansky, president of the Sanctuary’s board of directors. “La Cubanita’s Orchestra is one of the best bands in northern Arizona, and no one will be able to stay off the dance floor when they take to the stage. We have some incredible silent auction items that have been donated by generous local businesses that believe in our cause. Dancing in the Moonlight will be the social event of the spring.”

Tickets are on sale now. For further details or to purchase tickets, call the Sanctuary at 928-634-2511. This event is expected to sell out, so buy your tickets early!
