Uptown Sedona Traffic Control Construction Schedule

adot highwaySedona AZ (February 6, 2016) – Construction will begin installing new in-ground, removable traffic “delineators” in uptown Sedona along the AZ State Route 89A  center lane beginning at Jordan Road to within approximately 40 feet south of Amara Lane. The work is scheduled to begin on Monday, February 8 and be completed by February 10, 2016. The work hours will be between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

To aid in relieving traffic congestion, the “delineators” will be used for traffic control on busy weekends to allow dual southbound through-lanes beginning at Amara Lane.

As part of this project, there may be minor traffic delays on SR 89A which may effect left turns to and from Jordan Road off State Route 89A. Parking, pedestrian access across State Route 89A, and traffic signals will not be effected during working hours.

Please allow extra time for your travels, respect all traffic control devices, and reduce speeds throughout the work areas. Any questions about the project should be directed to Traffic Aide Jerry Hutchison at 928-203-5083.

The City of Sedona will appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation.
