Sedona AZ (November 9, 2014) – On November 8, 2014, at approximately 8:00 in the evening, three juveniles escaped from custody at the Yavapai County Juvenile Justice Center, 1100 Prescott Lakes Parkway in Prescott, Arizona.

Juvenile Probation is responsible for juveniles charged in Yavapai County with delinquent and incorrigible offenses.

All three juveniles were located and captured November 9, 2014, by the Juvenile Probation Department in cooperation with the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the escape is underway. Although most details are confidential at this time, the preliminary investigation indicates that the detainees escaped through an exterior exit in a recreation area in the facility.

Yavapai County Juvenile Court Services is committed to ensuring a full and detailed investigation of the incident, including a complete analysis of measures to be implemented to prevent escapes of this manner in the future.
