imageimageSedona AZ (July 26, 2016) –   Malaki Neishabori and family of Cornville, Arizona, reported that a Tacoma covered pick up truck pulled into the Basha shopping center parking lot on SR 89A, and preceded to crash through the exterior wall of the former and now vacant Plaza Bonita restaurant and an adjoining vacant storefront before coming to a standstill with its tires spinning. The woman driver appeared to have minimal injuries.

The accident occurred about 3:43 PM. The driver  is reported to have said when pulling in to park, her foot slipped on the brake which caused the vehicle to accelerate.

The Sedona fire department and police responded quickly to the scene.  No bystanders were injured.  Exclusive SedonaEye.com photos courtesy of Malaki and Mary Neishabori.

I work in west Sedona & heard people talking about the accident after it happened the rest of day. The stories got bigger & bigger. Last story was police chase ended with car in restaurant & nearly killing people, then some man said read this here on line & tell them what really happened if you hear more talkers.Nice to read the truth you know. Karma Cafe went out of business & thought it might have been that location but it wasn’t. Edna
