State Route 89A Paving Requires Lane Reduction

adot highwaySedona AZ (August 15, 2016) – Travel heading through Oak Creek Canyon on AZ State Route 89A between the cities of Sedona and Flagstaff can expect delays for both northbound and southbound travel while paving is underway between Indian Gardens to south of the switchbacks (milepost 385-379).

Paving will take place Tuesday (August 16) through Thursday (August 18) from 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with one lane of travel through the work zone. Flaggers will allow for alternating traffic and drivers are asked to allow for extra travel time to reach their destinations and use caution while traveling through the area.

    Northbound Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) right merge lanes and on- and off-ramps between Chaparral and Indian Bend roads closed from 11:30 p.m. Thursday to 10 p.m. Friday
    Northbound Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) closed between Chaparral Road and Via De Ventura from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday

    Eastbound Interstate 10 closed between the I-17 “Stack” interchange and the State Route 51 “Mini-Stack” interchange from 9 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Saturday.

    A crash occurred around 6 a.m. on Highway 180 at Cedar Ranch Road about 30 miles north of Flagstaff. The highway will be closed until further notice. US 180 is one route from Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon. Seek an alternate route if traveling in this direction.

  3. UPDATE on Highway 180 Sunday crash says:

    ADOT advises that one lane of Highway 180 has reopened after a crash approximately 30 miles north of Flagstaff at Cedar Ranch Road closed the highway at 6:00 a.m. this morning. Traffic is alternating in the single lane. It is unknown when the other lane will reopen.
