Just before 3:00 p.m. on February 27, 2014, YCSO deputies responded to the accident on Date Creek Road. Upon arrival, deputies found a man, William Randall, 53, from Kirkland, Arizona, trapped under a white 1988 Ford Ranger pick-up resting on its side. Congress Fire Department personnel on scene notified arriving deputies that Randall had not survived the accident.

Initial accident investigation indicates speed was a possible factor. Deputies also determined Randall was not wearing his seat belt when ejected from the pick-up.
