SFD Candidates Wear Grass Roots Label

Dear Sedona Eye Editor,

As one of many individuals who distributed campaign literature to every accessible household in the District, I KNOW Nazih Hazime, Diane Schoen and Corrie Cooperman did not have Union help.

It was an incredibly difficult undertaking and an extraordinary accomplishment for a grass-roots group of citizens – determined to make a stand – to have completed such a daunting task. To sully that by falsehoods and fabrications is not a surprise coming from seriously threatened opponents, nor any of their remaining cronies. It seems they know no depths.

There have been any number of accusations made by the people against whom Hazime, Schoen and Cooperman are running. Most are moronic on their very face and beneath response. But this… This is a direct reflection on good and decent people – not evil conspirators trying to dupe anyone – and cannot go undisputed.

Our interests are solely in the safety and well-being of every resident in this District and we have worked tirelessly to make this recall election a reality.

The campaigns to elect Hazime, Schoen and Cooperman have been 100% financed by individual citizens.

That’s right. The people – NOT the Union. Deal with it!

    A lesson I keep learning over and over again . . .

For every finger pointing towards some one, three fingers point back to the accuser.

  2. Glenn Shannon says:

So they didn’t have union help. I received colored post cards twice or rather a very large post card and a regular sized one. The cards plus the postage cost a pretty penny so where did all this money come from if not the union. I didn’t seen any material of the 3 recall individuals because the big money didn’t back them. So you can tell all the tall stories you want but anyone with common sense can clearly see there is big money backing these three somewhere. Will the rats please come out of the woodwork.

Glenn…”Will the rats please come out of the woodwork.”

    You have.

Glenn, the campaigns to elect Hazime, Schoen and Cooperman have been 100% financed by INDIVIDUAL CITIZENS.

Glenn, again you show up to offer your unfounded accusations, and demonstrate your inability to do any work to find out the truth. The public records filed with the County will show you where the money came from. Individual donations from a lot of concerned residents who truly care about our safety and Fire District. Why “Big money: didn’t back the recall trio like it did at the last election is a question only you and your friends can know the answer. This election will be settled by the people, for the people.
Welcome out of the woodwork, Glenn.

  6. Glenn,

What part of “…The campaigns to elect Hazime, Schoen and Cooperman have been 100% financed by individual citizens” do you fail to comprehend?

You say “big” money didn’t support the recalled candidates? Don’t you think “abandoned the recalled candidates” is a little more accurate?

Again, I am PROUD the many, many, many conbributors of – by-contrast – “little money” DID support Hazime, Schoen and Cooperman. They know intelligence and sincerity when they see it! So…for your benefit, I will repeat myself:

The people – NOT the Union. Deal with it!

Interesting Glenn. You need to open Your eyes and check Your mail box. I received a very large, glossy card in the mail from Blauert asking to be re-elected, and I don’t think I’m the only one that got it. Who do You suppose is backing Him? Unfortunately everyone else that received the card also, are now thinking You don’t know what You’re talking about.

  8. Well Glenn, I guess that the “rats” came out of the woodwork and voted to kick the asses of the recalled candidates out of this world. BTW, the “rats” who donated all of that money were tired Sedona residents who are fed up by the antics of those recalled idiots. Even Blauert who spent tons of his own case was out voted by the other two idiots, Erk and Chucky. Who would have thought that would have happened.

  9. Glenn Shannon says:

I think my eyes were opened a long time ago. With 10 fires for the past year we really badly needed their service, just like we needed that expensive ladder truck we can’t use. If you folks like double what you are paying then vote your pocket book, as for me it got to be way out of line and especially when we have one of the most expensive fire departments in the state. We will soon have more chiefs than indians and guess that is the way you big spender voters want it but for me I really hate to foot the bill for this con job.

Glenn- You can always leave town!!! You wont be missed!!!

  11. Iretta says:

    Glenn,

You really need to educate yourself before you go off like this. The SFD will be happy to provide you with information on the property that has already been saved with the ladder truck. What do you suppose they would do if one of our 4 story resorts caught fire? Water needs to be hosed down onto a fire from ABOVE to be effective….the roof. In addition, if you know anything about geometry, you would realize that a 100 ft ladder is effectively good only for about 6 floors.
