SFD Asks for Business Compliance

Sedona Fire EMS ArizonaSedona AZ (September 27, 2014) – Many businesses throughout the Sedona Fire District (SFD) have fire protection and life safety systems that are designed to provide immediate fire suppression and or occupant notification in the event of a fire emergency.

Whether it is a fire sprinkler system, kitchen hood fire suppression system or a fire alarm system, properly installed and maintained systems save lives and reduce property loss.

To ensure reliability, the International Fire Code as adopted by the SFD requires all automatic fire suppression and fire alarms systems be inspected annually. Kitchen hood fire suppression systems are required to be inspected every 6 months.

There are over 650 fire protection and life safety systems within the Sedona Fire District. The communication and delivery of the inspection reports are now completed on a manual basis. To ensure all fire protection and life safety systems are inspected, tested and maintained, SFD has entered into an agreement with Brycer LLC to provide The Compliance Engine (TCE), a web based tool which automates the inspection reporting process, thus increasing our fire prevention bureau’s productivity.

All fire protection and life safety inspection companies are required to submit your inspection reports electronically to www.thecomplianceengine.com. If you have any questions concerning fire protection and life safety inspection reporting requirements, contact the SFD Community Risk Management Division at 928-282-6800.
