Sedona Water Conservation Committee Seeks Member

Sedona AZ (January 11, 2010) – The City of Sedona City Council is accepting applications to fill one vacancy on the Sedona Water Conservation Advisory Committee.

The Water Conservation Advisory Committee makes recommendations regarding water related matters to the City Council. Specific responsibilities include advising and supporting both elected and appointed city officials with regards to policies and practices pertaining to water supply, demand and conservation.

The committee members participate in various regional and state water activities, formulate strategies to encourage water conservation awareness, identify community education and outreach programs, all in order to inform the public of water conservation practices.

The Water Conservation Advisory Committee meets on the second Thursday of each month at 10:30 AM. For more information about the Water Conservation Advisory Committee, contact Audree Juhlin at ajuhlin@SedonaAZ.gov or visit SedonaAZ.gov/waterconservation.

Application packets are available from the City Clerk at Courthouse Plaza, 102 Roadrunner Drive, Sedona, Arizona 86336, or by calling City Hall at 928-282-3113. Completed applications must be returned to the Sedona City Clerk’s Office, Water Conservation Advisory Committee, 102 Roadrunner Drive, Sedona AZ 86336. The deadline to return applications is Friday, February 12, 2010, at 5:00 PM.
