Sedona Verde Valley Pride Celebration

sedona verde valley prideSedona AZ (July 22, 2013) – The Sedona Verde Valley Pride will celebrate its fifth annual Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay and Transgender (LBGT) weekend event in Cottonwood, Arizona, in September.

Organizers are promoting the event as pet-friendly (well-behaved expected, leashes mandatory). A variety of activities have been planned for the weekend and may be found on the website.

On Saturday, September 28, 2013, the LBGT festival will begin at Noon and continue until 8:00 p.m. with live entertainment throughout the day, vendors and local winery wine tastings. A KIDS ZONE will be provided this year, filled with fun activities for the children.

Festival entry is $5 at the gate.

The entertainment schedule is as follows:

  • Hosted by Clayton McKee from “The Show with Clayton McKee” on QTalkAmerica.com
  • Noon: Opening address and Welcome from City of Cottonwood Mayor Dianne Joens and City Council
  • Mountain Stranded Time
  • The Pubes
  • Combo Deluxe
  • Drag Royalty with DiVa, Mya McKenzie and Coco St. James
  • Sara Robinson and the Midnight Special
  • Special appearances by Sacred Circus and The Dahlias Belly Dancers.

There will be limited food options at the festival site as festival goers will be encouraged to experience local sponsors dining options all within a quick walk from the event site.

The After-Party on Saturday evening from 9 PM until Midnight will be held at 15.Quince Mexican Restaurant, South Main Street, Cottonwood. The After-Party dance party will feature Men of the Homorodeo.com calendar. Tickets for this event are $5 at the door with light food and drink specials.
