Sedona Tlaquepaque Farmers Market A No-Go

In happier days, the Sedona Winter Farmers Market opening at the Sedona airport. Katrin Themlitz, director/founder Sedona Community farmers market is center right.

Hi there,

The Tlaquepaque Farmers Market is not going forward this summer season.

We are keeping the option open to expand to this location in the future.

The 2011 summer season market at Relics Restaurant parking lot is going forward as planned on Thursday afternoons from 3:30 pm-7 pm and will run through the end of September. Winter season to be announced.

Thank you,

Katrin

ANOTHER reason NOT to allow the old council back-How quickly WE forget how bad they were and are and how ineffective the S. Chamber of Commerce was and remains. Where’s Rob Adams in this situation? Is he working with you or against you farmers? Voted for him last time because he was for the little guys. He needs to voice up about this.

Lure your Dollars, Ignore your Hollers is the right Mission statement for SCC. Ask these farmers.

Truth is we’re experiencing a bad turn of local events lately.

Farmers deserve better in Sedona. Sedona’s NOT progressive minded or willing to support health and wellness other than Lip Service. We buy New Frontiers PILLS from the Health Supplement section not chemical free jugs of milk or God Forbid ears of corn to COOK-we aren’t HIPPIES or NEW AGERS don’t you know? We don’t even support mandatory recycling or dark skies so support a farmers market?

Do like and appreciate the current news and having a say. Mike, west S.

I don’t know about everyone else who has gone to the Farmer’s Market, but it really needs to draw farmers who are actually growing produce! There is hardly any produce.

Camp Verde is tops. check out the calendar of events for Cornfest and market dates. we get lots of Sedona people shopping here at the market in town. be sure to visit the fort up the street. we have lots of local grown produce in CV markets and at farm stands. pecans are grown locally. C’mon down. Cornfest is next month.

agree with n. baer that the market is woefully lacking in some areas but it is nice to support it for trying to bring good quality, let’s give it time to be better by stopping by and julie, we like camp verde too. mike, you are a bit overwrought writing but i do see your points.
