Sedona Rotary Welcomes Taiwanese Business Visitors

Sedona AZ (June 22, 2011)-The members of the Rotary Club of Sedona and the Rotary Club of Sedona Red Rocks welcomed five business professional guests from Taiwan this week. Team members participating in the Rotary Group Study Exchange Program are visiting Rotary communities throughout Arizona during the month of June.

During the Sedona Rotary visit, team members will tour the new Performing Arts Center at Sedona Red Rocks High School, Pro Build Hardware Store, the Sedona Chamber of Commerce, the Arizona National Bank, and the Ron Draxler Insurance Company. Sedona Rotarian Renata Barnwell is coordinating the two-day Rotary Group Study Exchange (GSE) Program visit.

The Taiwan GSE team leader is Chang Ting-Hwa, former President of the Rotary Club of Taipai South Sea. Other team members include Yang Chang-Hsiang, a sales representative for ELIS Industrial Corporation; Chang Ching-Jen, Project Manager, State of Louisiana Asia Trade Office; Yang Jei-Fei, Database administrator, Polaris Securities Co. Ltd; and, Wang Shin-Yi, Senior Agent Supervisor, Nan Shan Life Insurance Co. Ltd. pictured here with Don Schiller of the Sedona Rotary.

The Rotary Group Study Exchange Program is a cornerstone of Rotary International’s goal of Building Communities, Bridging Continents. It is a unique cultural and vocational exchange opportunity under which small groups of young business people and professionals visit other countries for four to six weeks to experience the host country’s culture, institutions and vocations.
