Sedona AZ (June 13, 2011)-Enjoy the fresh air and majestic beauty of Sedona while getting beneficial movement! The City of Sedona Parks and Recreation department is now offering Red Rock Walks and Posse Grounds Boot Camp at Posse Grounds Park. These unique fitness classes combine walking, strength training and stretching for those individuals 18 and older that would like to try it. Outdoor circuit style training uses natural landscape, playground equipment, bleachers, and trees to create exercises that each student can do at their own level of fitness. Although these classes will be challenging, they are designed to be fun!
Resistance bands will be provided, so participants need only bring comfortable walking shoes and clothes, water and sunscreen. Leading these fitness walks will be Instructor Tracy Geurts, who is a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer and Certified Wellness Coach. She has over 23 years experience in the health and fitness industry. After spending many hours appreciating the beautiful and diverse Sedona landscape and fresh air, Tracy was inspired to take her personal training outdoors as much as possible.
Red Rock Fitness Walks are held Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Posse Grounds Boot Camp is held Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Participants will meet at the Recreation Room located near the multi-use field in Posse Grounds Park, 525 Posse Ground Road in Sedona.
