Sedona AZ (December 31, 2010) – A contract in the amount of $124,950 has been awarded to Sellers & Sons Inc. of Avondale, Arizona to install new lights on the existing poles for the two City of Sedona Posse Grounds softball fields. The lighting system construction project is anticipated to take about two weeks during mid to late January 2011.
The City of Sedona Arizona received an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant in the amount of $93,719 which will pay for most of the contract amount.
The new lights will be more energy efficient than the existing Posse Grounds lights and less light will spill to the sky. The new lights will have the capability to be controlled remotely allowing city staff to monitor the lights and be aware of any issues regarding the field’s lighting system.
The lighting manufacturer will also guarantee the new lighting system and provide “no cost” maintenance and replacement of luminaries for twenty-five years.

Hello City Manager?
How many lights will be installed? And how much IS NOT covered by the contract? What fund is that difference being taken from? You need to answer these questions here so we all know. Thank you.
