Sedona Police Department Special Olympics Fundraiser

On Saturday, December 4, 2010, the Sedona Police Department is teaming up with Sedona Ballroom Dance Studio and Sedona Rouge to raise funds for Special Olympics through the Law Enforcement Torch Run.

Come join us on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Sedona Rouge from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. to support the athletes of Special Olympics Arizona.  Enjoy a semi-formal night of open dancing and performances by Sedona Ballroom Students and Professionals.  A dessert selection and cash bar will be provided.  Local Special Olympics athletes will be in attendance.

Cost is $35 per person or $60 per couple.  Tickets are available at the Sedona Ballroom Dance Studio, the Sedona Police Department, and at the door.  Space is limited so purchase your tickets early!  All proceeds will be donated to Special Olympics. Call Sedona Ballroom Dance Studio for further information at 928-282-1678.

Note: Special Olympics Arizona’s goal is to empower Arizonans with intellectual disabilities to be healthy, productive, and respected members of society through year-round sports training, competitions, and support programs.  All of Special Olympics Arizona’s programs are provided at no cost to the 10,600+ athletes who participate.  They rely heavily on their sponsors to provide funding.  The Law Enforcement Torch Run began raising funds for Special Olympics in 1981 in Wichita Kansas and has since grown worldwide.

The Sedona Times Publishing LLC and SedonaEye.com/SedonaTimes.com are proud to support this local effort on behalf of the Special Olympics.
