Sedona Parks and Recreation Offers Dog Training Classes

Sedona AZ (January 30, 2011) – The City of Sedona Parks and Recreation Department wants you to know that its popular dog training classes are back in action for Spring 2011. This time around there are three different types of courses to choose from – as well as three brand new seminars taught by instructor Starr Ladehoff, CPDT-KA, who has over 24 years of experience training animals.

Choose from three 2011 class options: Puppy Kindergarten, March 6 to April 17; Family Dog 1 on March 6 to April 17 and March 29 to May 10; and the Recall Workshop – Training a Really Reliable Recall on March 29 to April 26.

New this year are three educational seminars! Choose Puppy Seminar on February 20; Canine Behavior Seminar on February 19; and or American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Preparatory Seminar on March 6 or March 31.

All classes will be taught at the multi-use field at Posse Grounds Park, 525 Posse Ground Road, west Sedona. The first day of each class (no dogs, handlers only) will be held in the Recreation Room at Posse Grounds Park next to the multi-use field.

Registration is accepted for all classes through the Sedona Parks and Recreation Department. You may walk in to register at 102 Roadrunner Drive, west Sedona, or call 928-282-7098 to register by phone.
