Sedona AZ (August 7, 2011)–Mark your calendars because the Sedona Heritage Museum is announcing that registration is open for its Fall Arts and Crafts sale to be held on Saturday, October 15 2011. The show will focus on local and regional artists and craftspeople and it will feature only handmade items.
The Sedona Heritage Museum hosts this old-fashioned arts and crafts show for visitors and locals to do holiday shopping and make personal selections for home or friends. Artists and crafters are encouraged to personally interact with shoppers and explain how each piece is made, where they find unusual materials and what inspires their artistic endeavors.
The Sedona museum’s arts and crafts show has matured over the years and features almost 50 vendors, sold-out vendor space, and a large attendance. Lunch will be available on-site along with the Museum’s annual bake sale. Show admission is free.

Beginning September 1, 2011, the City of Sedona Parks and Recreation Department and Ms. Sunshower Rose are pleased to bring to you art tutorials for all ages. Ms. Rose refers to her tutorials/classes as “Creative Arts”. The goal of these classes are to provide a safe environment for self expression, and are designed to develop creative thinking skills including creative writing along with great diversity in drawing and painting with water-based paints and mixed media. The desired result of these classes is confidence in expressing one’s creative side.
All classes will be taught in the Recreation Room located at Posse Grounds Park, 525 Posse Ground Road in Sedona. Adult classes will be on Thursdays, from 1:30- 3:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 1:00 -3:00 p.m. Junior High, Grades 6-8, will be on Thursdays, from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Elementary, Grades 3-5, will be on Fridays, from 3:00-4:00 p.m. High School, Grades 9-12, will be on Fridays, from 4:15-5:15 p.m. College Students over 18 years old will be Saturdays, from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. All classes will cost $7.50 per hour with an additional supplies fee of $25 on your first day of class.
