Sedona AZ (March 4, 2012) – The City of Sedona Parks and Recreation Department will offer a free Lunar Astronomy workshop on March 28, 2012 at Posse Grounds Park in west Sedona. The workshop is being brought to you by world-known astro photographer Dennis Young. This is an opportunity to view the moon, Venus, Mars, deep sky galaxies, star clusters, exploding stars, constellations and more.
Participants will enjoy a 45-minute program on Astro Scenic Photography of Arizona. The lecture covers celestial wonders of the night through the eyes of a wide field camera lens of the Arizona scenery. Following the photography presentation, participants will view the night sky through the use of three different telescopes.
