Sedona AZ (June 22, 2015) – The Sedona Heritage Museum’s Publishing Committee announces the publication of its latest book, A Ranch Wife’s Cookbook, by Patty Fox.

While hearing many stories about her life as a Sedona rancher’s wife, this book was the brainchild of museum volunteers honored to have worked with Patty over the past decade or more. Patty selected the recipes and family photos and museum docents, Beth Lanzoni, Ann Pearson and Fran Levengood, organized the stories and the manuscript. Museum volunteer Bill Levengood provided technical and publishing expertise.

Patty grew up in Duluth, Minnesota, riding horses with an English saddle, but her life changed forever when she moved to Arizona in the late 1940s and met and married rancher Kel Fox. Now Patty had to learn to ride Western saddle – and she had to learn to cook. Besides all the household chores and raising two boys, Patty drove cattle side-by-side with Kel, and was his greatest supporter when he served for over 50 years in various local and state public service positions, including state representative and senator.

“Between the pages of this book you will find many useful, easy and delicious recipes,” chimed in the three volunteers, “but more importantly, you will find Patty Fox.”
