Sedona Heritage Museum Honors Volunteers

Bill Levengood and Ruth Clem

Sedona AZ (April 29, 2012) – The Sedona Heritage Museum in the Jordan Historical Park, uptown Sedona Arizona, honored its nearly one hundred volunteers at a recent wine and buffet party. During the museum event, Bill Levengood presented the President’s Award to long-time volunteer Ruth Clem.

Ruth began volunteering as the Sedona Heritage Museum gift shop manager during its first days almost fourteen years ago. She was recognized for her tireless volunteer hours and exceptional success in making the gift shop a significant revenue source for the Museum’s programs and services.

Other volunteers recognized for reaching significant anniversary dates were David Tracy for ten years of service; Mary Piper, John Fogleton, Dale Starr and Ron Steinke for five years of service; and, Barbara Schnur for one year of service. All museum volunteers were recognized for donating over 12,000 hours of time in 2011.

During the Sedona Historical Museum event, Carol Thomas was introduced as its new volunteer coordinator. The museum has many needs to be fulfilled by willing and able volunteers. To learn more about the museum and its volunteer opportunities, contact Carol at 928-282-7038.
