Sedona AZ (June 6, 2012) – The City of Sedona has been awarded a federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the Arizona Department of Housing and will accept bids from Arizona licensed contractors to construct various repairs to approximately six Sedona Arizona homes. The scope of work will include roofing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and other improvements.

A mandatory pre-bid walk through will be held at 8 a.m. on Monday, June 11, 2012. Those attending the walk-through must meet at the Sedona City Hall plaza in front of the Community Development building, 102 Roadrunner Drive, Sedona, Arizona 86336 for instructions. Inspections will last approximately four hours.

If ADA accommodations are required, contact Carl Stewart at the above twenty-four hours prior to the walk-through or the bid opening.

Bid deadline is 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2012. Bids must be sealed and labeled Sedona Housing Rehab and delivered to Carl Stewart, NACOG, 119 East Aspen Avenue, Flagstaff, Arizona 86001.

Mailed bids must be received by the deadline.

Faxed bids are not acceptable.

Late bids will be returned unopened.

Bids will be opened at 12:05 p.m. following the submission deadline and total bid amounts will be read aloud.

Minority, woman-owned, and disadvantaged businesses are encouraged to attend and submit bids. The City may waive bid informalities, may negotiate with any and all bidders, and may reject all bids if it is deemed in the best interest of the City.
