Moreno arrested in Buckeye for CVS store drug theft

Sedona AZ (July 24, 2014) – On July 14, 2014, at approximately 2:45 in the afternoon, a masked subject entered the CVS pharmacy at 21087 West Main Street, Buckeye, Arizona, and instructed the pharmacist to give him oxycodone. The robber then left the area in a black car.

On July 22, 2014, at about 7:45 p.m., at the same CVS West Main Street pharmacy, a masked subject entered the pharmacy and was recognized by the pharmacist who immediately dialed 911. The subject exited the establishment without taking anything, and left the area in a black car.

Buckeye Police observed a black car driving southbound on Verrado Way and conducted a stop of the vehicle. The driver, Robert Moreno, 27, of Peoria (AZ) matched the description of the CVS suspect and was detained. Moreno was questioned about both incidents and admitted his involvement in the July 14 robbery, as well as the July 22 attempted robbery.

Moreno was booked into the Maricopa County Fourth Avenue jail on charges of robbery, burglary and drug possession.
