Redistribute Entertainers Wealth

Sedona AZ – The following is a letter to the SedonaEye.com editor:

One of the most disturbing facts about our capitalist nation is the misappropriation of funds directed to the salaries of entertainers. Everyone should agree that the value an athlete*, movie star, talk-show host, team-owner, etcetera, brings to the average citizen is very small.

Granted, they do offer a minuscule of diversion from our daily trials and tribulations as did the jesters in the king’s court during the middle ages. But to allow these entertainers to horde such great amounts of wealth at the
expense of more benevolent societal programs is unacceptable. They do not provide a product or a service so why are they rewarded as such?

Our society is also subjected to the “profound wisdom” of these people because it equates wealth with influence. Perhaps a solution to this problem and a alternative to defeated school levies, crumbling infrastructures, as well as all the programs established to help feed, clothe and shelter those who cannot help themselves, would be to tax this undeserved wealth. Entertainers could keep 1% of the gross earnings reaped from their endeavor and 99% could be deposited into the public coffers.

The old ideas of the redistribution of wealth have failed, and it is time to adapt to modern-day preferences. People put their money into entertainment above everything else; isn’t it time to tap that wealth? Does anyone think this will reduce the quality of entertainment? It seems to me that when entertainers received less income, the quality was much higher.

  2. Universal Health Care NOT WORKING says:

Canadians waiting for medical attention are faced with record-breaking wait times – and it doesn’t appear to be getting any better, according to the Fraser Institute.

The research think-tank released a new report Thursday, called Waiting Your Turn: Wait Times for Health Care in Canada, 2017, and found the median wait time in 2017 is 21.2 weeks – the longest ever recorded. By comparison, Canadians waited 9.3 weeks in 1993 when the Institute first started reporting on wait times for medical treatments.

Canadians pay extra to have good health care out of pocket. Can you afford that? And can you accept if the government tells you that traveling outside of country is not allowed? Eh America? That’s Universal Health Care.

Finally the liberals see the light of socialism. Worth reading how Chile had to recover from Pinochet and Venezuela from Maduro and suppression is what it’s all about.

You don’t get what you need or live the life that is worth it, is the real Socialism. Ask any former Soviet or Cuban or Congolese or eastern European post WWII or present day Chinese. The yoke of suppression comes after you get discounted toilet paper, coffee, rice and medical care and housing and clothing and then they take it away along with your government checks. That’s socialism. Look up the word DIASPORA. Learn something new. Why do you think they’re allowing all the uneducated poor to cross our borders? Because it lowers your wages and expectations to theirs. The Democrats believe in redistribution and not ownership.

The most Radical government has always been a Democracy. Demeocracy let’s you decide, not the government. But like Sedona, most of you are incapable of self governance because you like freebies and political/business handouts from the government whether its wise or not. A transit system for Sedona isn’t wise. A Chamber in control of businesses and lodging and city government isn’t wise. Wisdom is a short commodity in Sedona.

@MSM ” Why do you think they’re allowing all the uneducated poor to cross our borders?” Another reason? Democrats want their votes!!!!!

who’s laughing? (besides maybe the politicians who are making a lot of money?)

Move to India or Pakistan and see how that works in reality. No women would find that acceptable. No poverty is an unknown in America like the poverties of the global poor. This is the greatest country on earth for the poorest and downtrodden. There is no glory in poordom, there is glory in rising from poordom to ownership of one’s destiny with education and freedom to use it for the greater good. No other nation encourages this but America, and makes the sacrifices to achieve it. No other nation is hated more then America because its people are free to think and act without government dominance. I’ve lived in four nations on three continents and know of what I speak. I am bi-racial and no country accepts all of me and my family like America. Thanks be to God for this land that is now mine.

  8. Mystery of Capitalism says:

“The hour of capitalism’s greatest triumph,” writes Hernando de Soto, “is, in the eyes of four-fifths of humanity, its hour of crisis.” In The Mystery of Capital, the world-famous Peruvian economist takes up the question that, more than any other, is central to one of the most crucial problems the world faces today: Why do some countries succeed at capitalism while others fail?In strong opposition to the popular view that success is determined by cultural differences, de Soto finds that it actually has to do with the legal structure of property and property rights. Every developed nation in the world at one time went through the transformation from predominantly informal, extralegal ownership to a formal, unified legal property system, but in the West we’ve forgotten that creating this system is also what allowed people everywhere to leverage property into wealth. This persuasive book will revolutionize our understanding of capital and point the way to a major transformation of the world economy.

Sedona’s “wealth” is distributed to a regional chamber of commerce with questionable accountability of how’s it’s spent. Such a deal! YES (for those on the take?)

  11. Baltimorons vote for Democrats says:

(Former racist commentator) Sen. Bernie Sanders in 2015 called Baltimore a “Third World country” with “hundreds of buildings that are uninhabitable” has the gall to say that Trump’s tweet is by “a racist president who attacks people because they are African-Americans.” BS Bernie Sanders.

Join #Blexit from the Democrat Party.

Trump is right. Pelosi AOC Warren Cummings and others clean up your city sidewalks full of s*** and typhoid and rats and rotting infrastructure. You can’t do it at home, you can’t do it for the nation.

  12. Eric says:

Googled around the internet to see what Baltimore was about. Got to love this President for being transparent. We’ve got to learn to handle it and learn to demand it of every representative in DC.

Found that Baltimore’s own black Democrat mayor must be a racist too. She was definitely transparent about it, here’s what she said.LMAO

…..Last year, when touring the city’s violence riddled, trash filled neighborhoods, she was caught on camera expressing her disgust: “What the hell? We should just take all this s—t down. … Whoa, you can smell the rats… You can smell the dead animals.”
