Reader Calls Paul Ryan a Radical

Prescott AZ (October 6, 2012) – In a Letter to the SedonaEye.com editor, Prescott Arizona reader Bob Lynne writes an opinion of Republican candidate for U.S. Vice President Paul Ryan:

Paul Ryan is a radical who, in his own words, was influenced early by the likes of Ayn Rand. This ideology has no room for compassion, no room for helping others, and is very self serving. Ryan’s budget follows this ideology. It favors the rich, but closes loopholes that will hurt seniors, the middle class, and the poor. Its government spending cuts will hurt the poor and middle class leading to fewer jobs, but increases spending for defense. (The U.S. currently spends more than the next 16 largest defense budgets combined).

According to the Economic Policy Institute, Ryan’s cuts would lead to the loss of 4.1 million jobs by 2014. The Ryan plan privatizes Social Security enriching Wall Street investment houses and ultimately hurting seniors. It privatizes Medicare and turns it into a voucher system with block grants to the states, driving up the costs for seniors. According to the Congressional Budget Office, Ryan’s budget cannot balance out and bring in the needed revenue, but Romney would sign the Ryan budget anyway.

Ryan is also radical regarding Women’s rights. He voted against equal pay for equal work for women. He is proud to say, according to The Weekly Standard, “I’m as pro-life as you can get.” That means he wants to take away every right for women to chose. He wants to redefine rape as “forcible rape” , thus by law, forcing women to carry fetuses to term for statutory rape, incest, and date rape. He is even in favor of hospitals refusing to help when the mother’s life is in danger and wants to define a fertilized egg as a legal person .

Paul Ryan is too radical to be first in line to the presidency.

  1. Ryan a radical…what bull…ryan might not say what we like but a radical? You are a partyliner and that’s about as disgusting as a pantyliner.

  2. Dr Carol says:

I agree with Doug. How can anyone be more radical than Obama and his crew. What a bunch of crap.

  3. listened to biden and ryan on rape & not once did ryan or biden say what this guy said & thats the problem w/listening to people like lynne – you never get the facts just spin.

biden & ryan are 2 peas in a pod & both said the same about their catholic beliefs & how does he feel about catholic ann fitzpatrick running for congress who is prolife or raul grivalja another catholic? lynne is anti-catholic, a religious hater.

you can be catholic & still uphold the right of women to chose & that’s fair in a democracy- unless this guy is a muslim & then you can’t separate religion from government & make no mistake about me I’m Methodist & am prolife but don’t have a problem if a woman decides an abortion is right for her, it’s her business between her & God or between her & nobody & I think biden & ryan will do the same besides there’s more to this election than the nonissue of rape beliefs-nothing will matter if there aren’t jobs.

This letter appears to come from a RADICAL Obama/Biden propagandist. But, in my view, even the official O/B campaign would be very ashamed to be associated with some of the misleading and outrageous claims in this letter. Did Lynne even bother to listen to the Biden/Ryan debate or visit the Romney/Ryan website? I consider myself an equal-opportunity critic of both political parties so I think that while Republicans may not dignify this letter with a comment, I believe that Democrats should disavow it to maintain the integrity of their own campaign. I give Lynne 4 Pinocchios (top rating that Kessler of the Washington Post gives for a whopper) for this letter.
