Prescott National Forest Offers Campground Reservations

Prescott National Forest locationPRESCOTT AZ (January 25, 2013) –The Prescott National Forest is adding Lynx Lake Campground and Groom Creek Horse Camp to the National Recreation Reservation System (NRRS), in line with national policy. By offering reservations, campers will be able to plan ahead knowing they have a campsite ready for their arrival at these popular recreation areas.

“I view this change as facilitating our service by providing improved and dedicated reservation services” said Linda Jackson, Bradshaw District Ranger.

There are no other changes proposed to the management of these sites:  Camping fees remain $18/night for a single site and $36/night for a double site. The NRRS does charge a reservation fee; $9.00 for internet reservations and $10.00 for reservations made by telephone.
