Police Looking for Drive-By Shooter

Prescott Valley PoliceSedona AZ (July 28, 2015)The Prescott Valley Police Department is searching for anyone with information about a drive by shooting incident that occurred Sunday, July 26, 2015, at approximately 11:10 in the evening near the intersection of Robert Road and Loos Drive, Prescott Valley, Arizona.

The suspect vehicle is described as a late 80’s to early 90’s dark colored sport utility vehicle (possibly a Jeep Cherokee) with the driver’s side headlight out and it has not been located.

The incident started when a black 2004 Chevrolet pickup that was driven by a 24-year-old Prescott Valley man accompanied by his brother, 14, and his brother’s 13 year old friend. They were returning from a fast food restaurant on AZ SR Highway 69. The driver reported while traveling on Glassford Hill Road, a dark colored Jeep Cherokee began flashing its high beams and started tailgating them after they passed it. The driver of the black truck continued to watch as the dark colored Jeep followed him on several streets and allegedly attempted to ram his vehicle before stopping near the intersection of Loos Drive and Robert Road. According to witnesses, the suspect discharged a firearm several times at the truck, almost striking the juvenile passengers, and another nearby 16 year old juvenile resident who was sleeping. The victims in the black truck fled the area and immediately notified the police of the incident.

The Prescott Valley Police Department is currently investigating this incident.
