Pinal Supervisors Appoint Interim County Manager

FLORENCE AZ (June 30, 2013) – With a unanimous vote, the Pinal County Arizona Board of Supervisors named Assistant County Manager for Development Services Greg Stanley, as Interim County Manager.

Stanley, one of three candidates the Board interviewed for the position, will assume the duties of the office on Monday, July 1, 2013. He will temporarily succeed Fritz Behring who is leaving to become the Scottsdale Arizona City Manager.

The Pinal Supervisors decided that the interim manager is eligible to apply for the permanent opening. Pinal County is currently in the process of selecting a recruiting firm to assist in screening candidates for its next County Manager.
