Phoenix Raceway Hosts September 11 Blood Drive

Blood drive to be held Saturday, September 11 2010, on the track in-field PHOENIX International Raceway “ Come to the track as a fan, leave as a hero.”

That’s the mantra for NASCAR fans at Phoenix International Raceway that have the chance to help save lives by rolling up their sleeves for this year’s American Red Cross blood drive. .

The blood drive will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 11 2010 at Phoenix International Raceway, 7602 S. Avondale Blvd. in Avondale.  Fans wishing to participate in the Sept. 11 blood drive should enter the track at Gate 8 and proceed through the In-Field Tunnel to the Media Center.

Donors must weigh at least 110 lbs. and be at least 17 years of age.   Donors must also be in good health, must not have donated blood in
the past 56 days, and must present a current donor card or proper form of photo identification at the time of donation.

All donors will also have the opportunity to enter-to-win a variety of hourly prizes, including tickets to the upcoming NASCAR event
weekend at Phoenix International Raceway in November.

Registration for the Sept. 11 blood drive at Phoenix International Raceway is available online at www.redcrossblood.org.
or by calling 800-RED-CROSS (733-2767) and using the sponsor code “PIR.”  Donation slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served
basis.
