New & Not So New Member Orientation

With the Chamber offering so many ways to help you market and promote your business, sometimes it helps to spend time with the staff to learn all you can to make your membership dues provide the biggest bang for your buck. On Tuesday, February 9th at 9:00am-11:00am at the Sedona Springs Resort located at 55 Northview Road, we will present the New and Not So New Member Orientation program. At this meeting, you will learn about membership benefits, Chamber structure, marketing opportunities for your business and discover how the Chamber can work for you. Speed Networking- It’s Fast, It’s Easy!

What is speed networking? Think of speed dating without the date. This is an effective way to make a lot of initial connections in a very different environment from the standard business networking mixers. Join us for this fun, exciting and high energy event, there is no cost to attend! Speed Networking will take place on Wednesday February 10, 2010 at 5:30pm in the Elks Lodge. Strategies for Success Lunch

The next Strategies for Success lunch will be held Wednesday February 17 from 11:30-1:15. The topic for the lunch will be “Small Business is Personal: Changing Your Business to Survive and Thrive” presented by Miriam Gilbert of the MiriamGroup Executive Advisors.

Change is a fact of life. In the current economic transition it is crucial that businesses consider recreating themselves in order to survive and thrive now and in the future. Is there something you are doing in your business that worked in the past and just isn’t working anymore? Has the passion for your business faded and what once brought fulfillment, energy and revenue more of a struggle? Sedona International Film Festival

The 16th Annual Sedona International Film Festival is around the corner! Taking place February 21-28, 2010, the festival will feature 140 films, including features, documentaries, shorts and animation. Filmmakers and audiences from around the world have heralded Sedona’s festival as one of their favorites. Oscar-winning documentary filmmaker Michael Moore will be here as the festival honoree, along with Robert Osborne (Turner Classic Movies), Connie Stevens, Tim Daly, Richard Schiff, Doris Roberts, and multiple Grammy Award-winner Maynard James Keenan! We Would Like to Thank:

Grace from Grace’s Secret Garden for coordinating two fantastic days of B&B tours for the volunteers and for the amazing hospitality, we can see why they are so successful.

Visitor Center Stats

In 2009 we aided 292,911 visitors up 30% compared to 2008. Top Domestic Visitor Origins: CA, AZ, TX, IL, FL. Top International Visitor Origins: Canada, England, Japan, Germany. 62% of visitors who signed the guest book were first-time visitors.
