New Poll Shows Majority of Arizonans Oppose National Monument

gosarSedona AZ (May 7, 2016)Today, Congressman Paul Gosar (AZ-04) released the following statement after a new scientific poll conducted by Coleman Dahm & Associates found that 71.6% of Arizonans are opposed to the ongoing effort by special interest groups to lock up 1.7 million more acres in Northern Arizona by presidential executive order under the Antiquities Act:

“The latest polling numbers confirm that Arizonans from across the political spectrum are strongly opposed to special-interest groups attempting to lock up 1.7 million acres in the Grand Canyon Watershed. We simply can’t afford any more land grabs by the executive branch at the behest of extremist environmental groups which include the Sierra Club and Center for Biological Diversity.

“There is no pending threat to the Grand Canyon and this National Park already has numerous protections including the Grand Canyon Protection Act, the Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act. It defies commonsense that proponents are trying to convince the public that a new 1.7 million acre monument is necessary to protect a 1.2 million acre National Park that already has plenty of protection.

The fact remains that Arizonans oppose this land grab by a large margin and this scientific poll confirms that fact.”

On April 20, 2016, Coleman Dahm & Associates completed 499 telephone interviews (on both landlines and cell phones) with registered Arizona Voters throughout the state of Arizona. The margin of sampling error for the study’s statewide and 4th Congressional District results is +/- 5% at the 95% confidence level. Click HERE to read the full poll memo.

Question asked: “The federal, state and tribal governments in Arizona already own 81.8 percent of all Arizona land, leaving just 18.2 percent open to private owners. Do you support the special interests’ effort to lock up 1.7 million more acres in Northern Arizona by presidential executive order – which could kill jobs, harm tourism, agriculture and water rights, and prevent hunting and fishing?”

Angela isn’t all there if you know what I mean. Nice enough lady but about as dense as a door. She sees everything with eyes that hate America when her Jewish and UK background ought to know better. As a Jew I resent those of us who March lockstep with local democrat fascist do nothing’s that mouth off about social causes and vote for people like Angela and Hillary Clinton, two without any common woman experiences and false leadership credentials. I’m 41 and some people need to step away. Let the young have the say and not people with bad attitudes.

@DG & all Readers at The Eye opposed to the revisited National Monument issue:

This is from Angela LeFevre’s own Curriculum Vitae posted at her website which she created to support her run for LD6 Legislator in 2012:

“I spent some time in London, working for the Labour Party as a Political Party Agent.”

“I have politics in my blood!”

Quoted from the Foreword to the 1947 Labour Party edition of the Communist Manifesto:

“In presenting this centenary volume of the Communist Manifesto, with the valuable Historical Introduction by Professor Laski, the Labour Party acknowledges its indebtedness to Marx and Engels as two men who have been the inspiration of the whole working class movement.”

Further the Foreword to the 1947 Labour Party edition of the Communist Manifesto says:

“Abolition of private property in land has long been a demand of the Labour movement.”

Think about the above statement very carefully, then consider the following in light of that statement: On October 18, 2012, Angela LeFevre, former City of Sedona Councilor and a very vocal supporter of KSB and The Sierra Club, had released in her behalf by sympathetic Steve DeVol, owner and publisher of Sedona.biz and a former President of KSB, a campaign video of her 2012 run for Arizona Legislative District 6 House of Representatives (which she lost). At the 5:05 mark she launches into this “…Sovereignty [of states] is a misnomer when it comes to one state which is a part of the United States of America and I don’t think that trying to create a sovereign state of Arizona does us any good whatsoever.” By virtue of this lame statement, LeFevre is demonstrably ignorant as to the Constitution of the United States since she 1.] quite obviously doesn’t understand the Constitution’s Tenth Amendment concept of dual federal and state sovereignty wherein the federal government’s sovereignty is defined and limited…while the state’s sovereignty is unlimited except for the powers specifically delegated to the federal government by virtue of quite specific language in the Constitution and 2.] she (LeFevre) clearly believes in the Labour/Communist party concept that ALL real property should be subject to federal control.

To this day, recalling that she has politics in her cold blood, Angela LeFevre still has the same Marxist political belief-system as she did in the U.K. and this is her true motivation behind once again pushing the Sedona Red Rock Verde Valley National Monument issue into the faces of the vast majority of Verde Valley and Arizona citizens opposed to the NM idea whom she cares nothing about and whom she chooses to ignore. Nor does she care about the sanctity of our Red Rocks which has nothing to do with what drives her political activism. Her recurrent NM movement is a flat out ruse to camouflage her Marxist bias towards total federalism! I have just proved that to you all. Show her the door again as you did last year.

    @ West Sedona Resident

If you are going to be a troll, try to be at least a little interesting. I guess working at your city job as made you more dull then when you started?

I can’t wait until the City of Sedona goes broke, and you are working at McDonalds. You’re not pretty enough to be a waitress anywhere else.

You are annoying and pitiful. Nothing else.

  5. West Sedona resident says:

@wrs Dont know who your referring to Julianna….. But if the person your talking about had any job that would be a step up from your pitiful situation .. If you know what I mean. Wink wink

  6. West sedona resident says:

BTW The above poll was taken by a Tea Party consulting Co. FYI

  7. wsr says:

    @West Sedona resident

You really have a thing for this Julianna.

Was she your lover and she dumped you? Did you come on to her and she never responded? Unrequited love is hard for you to deal with? Come on it’s not the first time someone rejected you.

Just go away, you’re embarrassing yourself.

Governor Ducey signed HB 2585 today!

Rep. Bob Thorpe’s bill was written to try to prevent the federal government from taking over more of Arizona’s land. Rep. Thorpe has been our “soldier” in this national monument designation fight; please let everyone know how much we appreciate him. He never backed down!

The bill was written by Bob Thorpe and supported by Senator Sylvia Allen and Rep. Brenda Barton (all Legislative District 6). All three are vehemently against more federal government land control in Arizona.

Please call this number and leave Governor Ducey a message of gratitude: tell Ducey “thanks” from his Northern Arizona property owners: 602-542-4331

Thank you for doing this. Please also remember this at the voting booth: vote FOR THORPE, BARTON and ALLEN.
