Manuel Cruz Endorsed by AFL-CIO & AFSCME

Manuel Cruz, Candidate for State Mine Inspector

Thank you volunteers and supporters!

Because of you, our campaign is gaining momentum at a rapid pace. The word is spreading across Arizona that Manuel Cruz for State Mine Inspector is the right choice.

This month has been busy and exciting.  I had the pleasure of attending Democratic office grand openings all over Arizona.  We have received the endorsements of the AFL-CIO and the AFSCME.  Michael Nowakowski the Vice-Mayor of Phoenix has jumped on board with his endorsement and support.  I have been to many LD meetings and have many more to go.  I spoke to the International Society of Mine Safety Professionals to give my vision of the future for the office of State Mine Inspector, and I was able to hear what concerns they face in today’s mining industry. At that meeting, I, along with everyone else in the audience, heard Joe Hart say verbatim, “I don’t know what my guys do.  I just know they do a good job.”  I was honored to appear before the Navajo Nation at an exciting time, when they are voting on a new President.  The Navajo Nation is dealing with a real threat to their mining industry and abandoned mine closure department.

The fact is, it’s time to put a leader with real experience into the State Mine Inspector’s office; one that cares about the safety and well being of miners, communities, and the environment.   It’s time for a change.  I am looking for volunteers to join our campaign, and I thank you for your support to elect Manuel Cruz for Arizona State Mine Inspector, Arizona’s future for mine safety.  Please visit us on the web at www.cruzforarizona.com .
