YCSO deputies were dispatched on November 29, 2014, around 8:15 in the evening, after receiving a call that a 68-year-old man had been shot in the leg. Deputies were also advised the suspect, Bryan Wilson, 52, was still holding a rifle and trying to shoot the victim again. A YCSO field supervisor arrived first to the scene and was able to detain Wilson without incident.

The suspect Wilson and the victim reside at the incident location.

The victim had been in an argument with Wilson over money he owed Wilson. At the time, Wilson was armed with a .22 caliber rifle and standing outside the victim’s trailer. He gave Wilson some cash as requested and, when he turned to walk away, Wilson fired two shots with one of the bullets hitting him in the leg. A female witness intervened by blocking Wilson’s view of the victim as Wilson tried to shoot the victim again. Another male, present at the time of the shooting, was able to grab the rifle from Wilson after he shot the victim. Wilson then pulled a revolver from his belt holster which the male witness was also able to take from Wilson’s grasp. As Wilson produced yet another pistol from a pocket, intending to again engage the victim, police sirens were heard and Wilson relinquished the pistol.
