Letter from Germany Supports Sedona Candidates

Sedona AZ (February 15, 2010) – The following is a letter to the Sedona Times Publishing newspaper and its online news site SedonaEye.com editor from Germany:

Letter to the Editor:  Guten Tag von Deutschland,

vote booth voting electionNancie and I, while currently living in Munich on an Expat assignment, believe the current election will be very important to the future of Sedona. We have already had the privilege of voting early via Overseas Ballot.

During the week of February 15 registered voters residing in Sedona will receive a ballot by mail and we encourage you to vote and send in your ballot before March 9th.

We support Rob Adams for mayor of Sedona and the following candidates for election to city council and hope you will too:  Barbara Litrell for City Council, Dan McIlroy for City Council, Mike Ward for City Council, and Dennis Rayner for City Council.

It doesn’t matter so much what words you use, but in our democracy your voice and vote are very important.

Therefore we ask that you vote NO on the proposal to “Repeal of Direct Election of Mayor.” We believe it’s vital for citizens to retain the right to select and elect the officials that represent them.

Regardless of the candidates you support, please vote – it’s a privilege and a responsibility.

Auf Wiedersehen!

Eric Shrode & Nancie Plum
