Juvenile Court youth work crew service projects restore damage to community.

Sedona AZ – Youth involved in Yavapai County Juvenile Court’s Community Restitution Program assisted with various service projects around the City of Prescott, Town of Prescott Valley, Cottonwood, Camp Verde, Sedona and other parts of our county.

This summer, the kids spread fresh mulch at our City of Prescott park playgrounds to ensure soft landings for little ones and a fresh, clean look for our park users.

Restitution is all about restoring damage in the community. Whether the young adults in the program were found to be in violation of laws related to truancy, shoplifting, substance use, vandalism or disorderly conduct, the effect on the community is repaid in many ways, including financial reimbursement to victims.

The weekend work crew is just another one of our court-ordered Community Restitution Programs available in Yavapai County Juvenile Courts. The crews operate three times per week for eight hour days, providing needed services at no charge to local government agencies and nonprofits across Yavapai County.

Kaycee Grady, Yavapai County Juvenile Courts Community Restitution Coordinator, provided the photograph.

If authority figures demanded proper behavior we’d see less of these kids out of control because of no discipline and moral values. Basics like loving your neighbors as yourselves, do not kill, do not covet, respect mothers and fathers, and the ten to 600 of how to treat others with kindness and empathy found in Bibles and Missiles and Torahs and one day maybe Islam with a worldwide reformation. Go back to church all of you authority figures if you can’t handle teaching love and peace and respect for others on your own time – take your kids and selves to Sunday and Saturday school to be taught respect for elders and to develop a thirst for education. It’s better than letting TV and movies teach our young.
