We’re trying again! Intro to Astronomy re-scheduled April 8th!

Introduction to Astronomy: Whether or not you participated in this great event in early March, we are inviting
you and your family back!  We won’t let the rain keep us down.  Sedona Parks and Recreation offered an Introduction to Astronomy event and those present enjoyed an educational Power Point presentation, which was to be followed by telescope viewing outside.  Unfortunately the clouds and rain made this portion of the event impossible.  That is why we are trying again!

Bring back those telescopes and join us at Posse Grounds Park on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. for a viewing do-over.  There will be no Power Point presentation, just an evening under the stars. Bring your own telescope and let JD Maddy, President of Astronomers of the Verde Valley, and his team of amateur astronomers show you how to properly care for and set up the equipment. Telescopes will be on hand for participants to view through.

This is a free event, so please join us again to view the beautiful night skies. Telescopes will be set up on the Multi-Use field at Posse Grounds Park, 525 Posse Ground Road.  Contact Parks and Recreation with any questions at 928-282-7098.
