Sedona AZ (September 26, 2014) – On September 17, 2014, Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking (PANT) assisted the Prescott Valley Arizona Police Department to serve a search warrant in the 8400 block of Leigh Drive, Prescott Valley, Arizona. Information had been previously obtained regarding illicit drug activity following an unrelated criminal investigation. This information provided justification for a search warrant and involvement from PANT detectives.
The home was occupied by three persons who were arrested; Lee
Mahoney, 36, Christine Cronin, 29, and Mercedes Clark, 23. Inside the three bedroom home, detectives found two bedrooms converted strictly for the use of growing marijuana plants – commonly known as an indoor grow operation. Detectives found 45 plants in various stages of maturity, a vast array of drug related paraphernalia, growing equipment and supplies, and two shotguns.
There was no legal basis for this operation. Mahoney and Cronin were arrested and charged with Production of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of a Weapon during a Drug Offense. Both were booked at the Camp Verde (Arizona) Detention Center and each has since been released on a $4000 bond.
Clark was charged with Possession of Marijuana (felony), booked at the same jail and has been released on a $1000 bond.
