Happy Thanksgiving

yavapai county arizona logoSedona AZ (November 17, 2015) – The following is a letter to the SedonaEye.com editor:

The Yavapai County Board of Supervisors and all of our staff would like to wish all the people of this county a warm and Happy Thanksgiving. During this time of reflection we would like you all to consider in your hearts the many blessings that we all have living in a free and democratic society.

Please remember all of our volunteers which give so freely of their time, our military men and women far from home, our first responders and law enforcement officers who are out there protecting us now and during this holiday season. As well, remember their families who support them every day.

Please be safe and may this day of Thanksgiving be a joy to all of you.

Sincerely,

Craig L. Brown, Chairman

Yavapai County Board of Supervisors

District 4

  1. Where's God? says:

“Please remember all of our volunteers which give so freely of their time, our military men and women far from home, our first responders and law enforcement officers who are out there protecting us now and during this holiday season. As well, remember their families who support them every day.”

Ridiculous, pathetic drivel as another holiday gets perverted.

  2. In the Know says:

What’s very clear @Where’s God? is that you have never had cause to learn first hand the value of those given tribute in the above posted reminder.

It might be well for you to refrain from tooting your horn and displaying such ignorance until such time you might very well find it necessary to call upon professionals for your own need or of those you care about. That is, if such a thing exists in your life.

If anyone ever on this site at any time has spouted more “Ridiculous, pathetic drivel” as you, kindly point it out. For sure you would not be worthy for willing, caring, and capable individuals to assist you in a time of need since for sure you have no soul to save. You are worthless.

  3. No thanks! says:

I remember when Thanksgiving was about giving thanks to God, not other human beings.

“Volunteers” are supposed to be thanked instead now?

“Military men and women” (imperialist stooges) are supposed to be thanked instead now?

“First responders and law enforcement officers” are supposed to be thanked instead now? If we are to forget God and thank humans, why not these people whose jobs are more dangerous?:

  4. Facets says:

It is not your place to pass judgement on another facet of the collective whole. He is a facet of you, after all.
Sedona will be happy to place this lesson at your doorway again and again until something is learned.
Just wondering why this letter was not sent from Thurman or Davis who run most of this area?
Happy Thanksgiving and God Bless America and all of our global neighbors.
