Government Study Exposes Poor International RF Regulations

Sedona AZ (August 17, 2016) – The following is a letter to the SedonaEye.com editor:

To Whom it May Concern; Sedona City Council, Sedona City Attorney and Manager:

phone cell computer laptopYou are receiving this information because you need to be aware that it has been recently proven by the Federal government that animals exposed to wireless frequencies do develop Cancer, etc. Being as all of your residents are also animals, you need to adjust your policy making practices instead of continuing to expose us to smart meters and cell towers. That you are, apparently going ahead without any regard for the health consequences you are exposing us to is unconscionable. Asking residents to pick the kind of cell tower(s) they like verges on insanity and is entirely offensive to this resident.

“On May 27th, 2016, the U.S. National Toxicology Program, of the U.S. National Institutes of Health, released a report with partial results of their large study on the carcinogenicity of radiofrequency radiation (RFR, also known as microwave radiation) in male and female rats and mice.

The world’s largest, most well-designed study of its type, at a cost of $25 million, found increased occurrence of rare brain tumors called gliomas in male rats and increases in nerve tumors called Schwannoma of the heart, thymus and mediastinum in both male and female rats exposed to RFR. The released results are “partial” because more rat results and all of the mouse study results will be forthcoming, by 2017.

Why is this study considered a “landmark” study?

ocean-918999_1920These results are very significant for three reasons:
  1.  In case-controlled studies, humans develop the same types of tumors from cell phone exposures.

Epidemiological studies in humans show increased risks for gliomas and schwannomas after long-term use of cell phones – these are the same types of tumors that were found in the exposed rats.

  1.  The results show adverse biological effects at non-thermal levels meaning that current international regulations (based on avoiding heating) do not adequately protect public health.

The NTP study was designed to test if the basis for government safety standards is accurate. Current safety standards are based on the premise that only RFR levels that cause heating are harmful. The study was carefully designed to ensure that the body temperature of the exposed rats did not increase significantly. Yet an effect was shown at non-thermal levels. The NTP study provides well-documented, scientific evidence that current international regulations are based on a faulty assumption.

  1.  The results add significant weight to the scientific evidence that radio frequency radiation is carcinogenic.
    • In 2011, the International Agency for Research on Cancer of the World Health Organization (IARC/WHO) classified radio frequency radiation as a Class 2B “possible carcinogen.” One of the reasons for the classification “possible” was because human epidemiological studies showed increased brain tumors after long term exposures, however, more evidence was needed from animal studies showing carcinogenicity and a mechanism of action. The recent NTP results provide new, well-designed research evidence in animal models that links RFR to cancer. As the NTP stated, “These findings appear to support the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) conclusions regarding the possible carcinogenic potential of RFR.”

Whatever happened to our elected officials protecting the public and keeping it safe?

  1. SEDONA INCREASES RADIATION EXPOSURE says:

And here Sedona City Council sits helpless while promoting more radiation as if they can do nothing….they are choosing ignorance at the expense of citizens health, in my opinion. Cityscape is witholding valuable information from citizens and council, in my opinion.

  2. Josh del Sol says:

    Dear SedonaEye.com,

In football, a big play on the march toward the goal results in a first down, which gives the team on offense a new set of plays.

They call this “moving the chains,” because the first down sideline markers are connected by a 10-yard chain.

Watch Jerry Day in this new video “move the chains” in a pretty huge way:

ps. We’ve been BLOWN AWAY by the response following the free viewing period. Without any promotion, over 7,000 of you tuned in over the weekend, and the emails we’ve received have been amazing. Your support is truly making this next phase of our project possible. Please stay tuned, and continue to envision the outcome we all want, because your thoughts and prayers truly have power.

  3. Debra V. says:

Diane Jones of Cottonwood running for Yavapai supervisor is a huge advocate of more cell towers.

Wonder who’s donating to her campaign? She’s responsible for that monster in the middle of Cottonwood if you ask us who live here.

  4. Do NOT elect Diane Joens says:

Yes , you are correct . When that council meeting deciding for the VFW tower was over and all the information to help residents was given to her, she simply said to the VFW advocates that she was surprised that they did not ask for a flagpole versus a tree. Your school children are also playing sports while being radiated. She will destroy the unincorporated area if elected. Corporate players, wireless and APS own Cottonwood politicos hence no smart meter discussions there. She is also a false advocate of the environment like Mayor Von Gausig of Clarkdale and Jodie Filardo. Towers everywhere, no measuring of radiation by City or County.
Karmic retribution is a non negotiable, glad it is not on my shoulders.
    Your neighbor.

  5. RADIATION FOR JOENS AND MCCAIN says:

Her endorser McCain is one of the biggest supporters to the wireless industry.
The military of which McCain was a part knows that wireless radiation can be used as weaponry and have know this since the 70’s. look it up.
    it is declassified now.
Shame for what they are silently allowing for their children and children’s children.
Until there are no more children able to have children.

  6. N. Baer says:

Joens’ Dad also worked at APS so she also supported the installation of APS smart meters instead of recusing herself. Guess she thinks no one will notice?

  7. Josh del Sol says:

    Hey SedonaEye.com,

People everywhere, including those in media and wireless companies, are waking up to the reality and huge implications of wireless/EMF harm.

And the wake-up is happening faster than we probably think. Here are 4 cases in point:

#1: CNN just aired an episode on toxins that included EMF on prime time (Morgan Spurlock’s Inside Man: The Truth About Toxins). More info / view it

#2: Legendary filmmaker Werner Herzog’s new feature “Lo And Behold” (from Sundance 2016) about the Internet-of-Things was just released, which features a segment on electrosensitive people that was respectfully done. Watch trailer / see it in theatres

#3: The GFIM World 2016 Congress (Oct 7-9, 2016 in Santa Fe, NM) will feature a special EMF PANEL with Camilla Rees MBA, Dietrich Klinghardt PhD, Martin Pall PhD, and Yury Kronn PhD. (GFIM stands for Global Foundation for Integrative Medicines.) More info / trailer / registration

#4: This good-news article, “Cafe Thrives Without WiFi” by Jeromy Johnson. I want to share this very telling reader comment with you:

    ———————-

    Comment by Travis Burch:
Figured I’d tell this story here about how things are shifting even within the industry…

I saw the AT&T trucks today, the guys were working on the cell towers. I’ve been wanting to talk to them for months but I never get a chance to talk to them.

So I walk over there today and just then a guy comes down and says “Hey”.

So I said “Hey man, do you mind if I ask you some questions about the cell towers?”

He said “Sure thing, go ahead”, real friendly.

I then asked a bunch of technical questions about the design of the towers and stuff, just saying I was fascinated by the technology. He answered them and I learned a bunch of stuff. He mentioned that the round antennas are higher frequency microwaves.

Then he said that the US is soon going to 5G, Korea (I think) is already going to 5G and “they’re ahead of us”, but that “lots of countries are holding off on 5G because of environmental concerns and health concerns”.

    I said “really?”

He said, “Yeah, and the head of the FCC recently said ‘We’re not going to let research slow us down.’”

I said “Wow, he said that? That’s really bold.”

He said “Yeah I think so.”

So I said, “Are you interested in the health concerns from this stuff?”

    “Yeah, I mean…yeah.”

    Me: Me too

Him: Really? Lots of us in this line of work are getting leukemia and cancer.

Me: I’ve been interested in it for a while because I work here, so close to two towers.

Him: They used to turn off the transmitters when we worked on them. Now they refuse to turn off the transmitters while we work on them and they don’t let us carry around a RF meter anymore. They’ve got transmitters on top of buildings now. . .

    Me: Yeah I’ve seen them!

Him: Yeah! You know the M****** H****** Hotel? I was just up there. And you just walk right up to them.

Me: Really? Man you’re right in front of those things!

Him: Yeah, and they’re not turning them off anymore. I’m just getting blasted.

Me: I’ve got a meter and I get readings at this school of 10-20 mW/cm2 per channel. And a cell tower has like 70 channels right?

Him: You have a RF meter? (He couldn’t believe it).

Me: Yeah! I drive around town and see what the levels are like.

    Him: No way, eBay? Amazon?

    Me: Amazon.

    Him: How much was it?

Me: Like… $190. [Note: order via the TBYP website here & support our work -Josh]

Him: No way… Like I said, they forbid us from having them now.

Me: So I just looked up the federal limits on Saturday. It says the federal limit is 10 mW/cm2. On this playground I’ve gotten a reading of 15 mW/cm2 on one channel… but the cell tower puts out 70 something channels, does that mean it’s putting out roughly 15×70 mW/cm2?

Him: Most likely, yeah. Yeah all of us are worried about it. It’s high enough levels to heat things up. My face burns whenever I use a cellphone.

Me: Everybody at the school is always hot, even when the air is cold.

(Note: radiant heat [long wave light] heats up a body without heating up air).

Him: Really? The industry people are actually worried that 5G is going to have a really big, even more noticeable thermal presence because the high frequencies have so much more power in them.

    (His phone started ringing).

    Me: Great talking to you!

    Him: You too! See ya!
